Between six national hunt races, a raft of themed activities will keep the whole family entertained at the only track in North-Wales.
To begin the day, a special Falconry Display by Vale Royal Falconry will take place in the Parade Ring at 12:30. The Vale Royal Falconry will reside on the Bangor end Open Course where racegoers will be able to get a closer look at these magnificent birds of prey.
To complement the horse racing on the track, in the Bangor end Open Course Ferretworld Roadshow have declared a number of participants who will be showcasing their agility and racing each other on a track of their own that features tunnels and tubs rather than jumps and hurdles!
Informal educating talks and hands-on’ demonstrations will occur throughout the afternoon from both Vale Royal Falconry and the Ferretworld Roadshow, featuring information about animal welfare and conservation.
Additional free activities for children on the day include face painting, a giant colouring-in wall and crafts. Plenty to keep the kids entertained between races!
The Injured Jockeys Fund, a worthwhile charitable course will be on-course showcasing perfect seasonal gifts for racing enthusiasts including Christmas cards, home accessories and gifts. Ali Valentine Hats will also be showcasing their latest wears. Racegoers who hold a Paddock Ticket are welcomed to browse both stalls.
Gates open from 11.30am and racing begins at 1.40pm. It’s the perfect opportunity to get the family together and enjoy an afternoon in the North Wales countryside this October.

~Wrexham General Station is the closest to the Racecourse and a FREE bus service operates from the Racecourse on race days. The bus will leave the station at 12.10, priority will be given to rail passengers on a first come first served basis. The bus will return 20 minutes after the last race.
